Moonridge Foundation

The Moonridge Foundation is committed to elevating philanthropy in the community, and building capacity in our social sector to address our most critical challenges.

Greater Good Council

A collective impact funding group comprised of philanthropists and family foundations, who pool funds via The Moonridge Foundation to achieve the highest social impact. This collective impact group, co-chaired by philanthropists Cindy Ellis and Justin Micatrotto, convenes quarterly to discuss trends in giving and the current needs of Las Vegas. The Greater Good Council is an extraordinary example of the power of collective impact and has granted over $1.2M to local organizations.

The Jameson Fellows

The Jameson Fellows are a group whose purpose is to create a culture of greater cohesion among non-profit, governmental and academic leaders and represents all five social sectors – health/human services, education, arts and culture, natural/built environment, and jobs/economy. Launched and sponsored by philanthropist Gard Jameson, the Moonridge Foundation serves as the facilitator of this leadership program. Working with Stephanie Rosol of Skye Coaching, The Moonridge Foundation organizes this collaborative effort to build trust among Fellows so they learn to recognize their value to their community, their strengths as leaders, and how best to support one another.

Downtown Cares

Downtown Cares is a collaborative day of philanthropy and service led by The Moonridge Foundation and the El Cortez, in conjunction with an array of downtown Las Vegas businesses and organizations. The sole purpose is giving back to the local community by lending a helping hand. Past recipients include Casa de Luz, Veteran’s Village, 18b Arts District, The Shade Tree/Noah’s Animal House, Catholic Charities, and The Las Vegas Rescue Mission.

Milagro Foundation/ Santuario De Luz, Autlan, Mexico

Inspired by Carlos Santana’s generosity with the Las Vegas community, The Moonridge Foundation wanted to have their own “pay it forward” project that would benefit a community health clinic, located in Carlos Santana’s hometown. The Moonridge Foundation team organizes an annual trip to Santuario de Luz in Autlan, Mexico to provide funding and basic medical and dental services to the citizens of Autlán and neighboring communities. Volunteers also help out with painting, planting, repair work, cleaning, and conducting hands-on support to those in need. The Moonridge team is honored to organize this annual event and to demonstrate the power of collective impact in action that extends far beyond our borders.
